Former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama has intervened and called for cease fire between the NDC’s National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo and Director of Communications, Sammy Gyamfi.

George Opare Addo after winning the National Youth Organizer position fired salvos at Sammy Gyamfi who did not support him and openly backed his opponent Brogya Genfi.

He attacked Sammy Gyamfi for plotting to remove him from the National Youth Organizer position.

Sammy Gyamfi on the other hand has held his cool.

But in a post shared via social media, John Dramani Mahama said he has intervened and called on both parties to enter the banter.

He believes that washing their dirty linen in public will be a destruction from the hardship the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has put the people of Ghana in and will bring the NDC no benefit.

The former President has advised that they focus on the prize.

“I’ve had meetings with our Youth Organizer and Communications Officer and agreed with them that the current exchanges must stop. It brings our great party no benefit and only serves as a distraction from the hardship caused by the reckless management of our economy.

Let’s keep our eyes on the prize for the ‘Ghana we want’,” his post read.
