The National Democratic Congress Tafo Constituency in the Ashanti Region had the most well-coordinated Constituency Election program thanks to Akufo-Addo’s Astro-Turf.
The NDC Tafo Constituency has been receiving massive accolades online following the successful conclusion of their elections to choose new sets of Executives for the next four years.
The event held at Tafo Astroturf constructed by President Akufo-Addo saw orderly arrangement of delegates, voting booths, tents and spaces created for candidates to meet delegates among others.
Some Ghanaians say President Akufo-Addo deserves some credit for the orderliness.
Akufo-Addo’s Astroturf projects have been constructed in all 16 regions of Ghana under various initiatives led by the various development Authorities within the coastal. Middle and Northern zone under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP).
IPEP is one of the government policies under the Akufo-Addo administration, that allocates $1 million to each constituency for special infrastructure projects and social interventions.
Projects are determined through stakeholder engagement and bottom-up needs assessment process.
CODA leads the implementation of IPEP in 109 constituencies in the six regions that make up the Coastal Development Zone while the other authorities lead same in their areas, including the Zongo Development Agency.
