NPP experiencing nightmares over new crop of NDC National Executives – Chairman Afayam
‘The New Patriotic party (NPP) is having nightmares and headaches after the just-ended National Democratic Congress (NDC) congress in the Greater Accra Region’, this is the position of the Nhyiaeso Constituency Chairman of the party Ernest Afayam.
He claims the new crop of competent national leaders who understand the dynamism in Ghana’s politics have been given the opportunity to lead the NDC and will bring unprecedented victory to the party never seen in the country’s political history.
Reacting to what he claims are unguided commentary being run by some NPP members, who insist the elected NDC executives are lame ducks and unfit for office, the NDC leader said man for man , the NDC executive stand tall and are well experienced compared to the ruling party.
“I am telling you, the NPP can no longer sleep, they are having sleepless nights, I mean nightmares even… our team is strong. Who in the NPP can you compare to the executives that we have, Asiedu Nketiah has been general secretary for 17 years, Ntim is nowhere near him. Our chairman is experienced and knows the political terrain”, he bragged
“Look at our General Secretary; he was Minister for Transport of Ghana, Minister of Food and Agriculture of Ghana. He has held party positions before, so he is a tough person and will not give the NPP a chance to do things anyhow. How can Justine Kodua compare himself to him”? He wondered.
“Yammin needs no introduction, deputy minister of sports, deputy minister of the Ashanti Region. One time secretary of the region, he lost the chairmanship race to Nana Akwasi, but is now the NDC national organizer, we all know what he stands for. He is a grassroots persona and a man of the people.” He boasted.
He claims he knows the NPP are regretting voting for their leaders and are revising their notes now.
“The NPP is now revising its notes. We know that. Reason they are speaking the way they are doing towards our elected members who have not even been in office for a week. They are restless”, Chairman Afayam said.
