The National Democratic Congress (NDC) elects its flagbearer in May 2023 baring any changes to a yet to be approved time table before the National Executive Council of the party.
Prospective candidates are expected to pay a filing fee of GH₵500,000.00 following a nomination of GH₵30,000.00, OnuaOnline has learnt.
The time table scheduled for consideration by the party’s NEC will open nomination for the presidential primaries on Monday, February 22, to Wednesday, February 24, 2023.
Below is the proposed time table for consideration by the NEC.
PROPOSED TIME TABLE FOR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
Presidential Primaries:
Opening of Nominations: Monday 22nd – 24th February, 2023.
Submission of Filing Form: Monday 20th – 22nd March, 2023.
Vetting: Monday 27th – 29th March, 2023.
Appeals: 30th March – 6th April 2023.
Elections: Saturday, 6th May 2023.
