Energy Minister Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh has denied claims of him signing a contract with GENSER.
Some workers of Ghana Gas Company Limited have called on the President of Ghana to overturn a contract purportedly signed by the Energy Minister.
But In a statement from the Energy Ministry denied the Minister’s involvement in any contract with GENSER.
According to the statement, the only contract between GENSER and GNGC was signed by the Chief Executive of GNGC Dr Ben Asante after which the Minister was duly informed.
The statement is shocked that the Minister in Charge of Energy is therefore being accused for signing a contract when the Chief Executive Officer was the one who signed the contract.
