The former president John Mahama will today (30 June) speak on the state of Ghana’s economy at the launch of the Think Ghana Progress in Accra.
The theme of the event is “Ghana’s debt burden: reflections and solutions.”
Ghana’s public debt hit GHC391.9 in March, the summary of economic and financial data by the Bank of Ghana revealed.
“I will be sharing my latest views on the state of the Ghanaian economy, as a follow up to my ‘Ghana at a Crossroads’ presentation at the inaugural lecture,” Mahama posted on Facebook.
The former Finance Minister Seth Terkper is also expected to speak at the forum at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration(GIMPA).

Mahama’s comment comes after the World Bank said the world is facing a “human catastrophe” from a food crisis arising from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
