President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has mandated Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor, to be caretaker minister for Trade and Industry until a substantive one is appointed.
His duty takes effect from Monday where the resignation of outgoing minister, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen officially takes effect.
The President earlier instructed the Finance Minister, Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta, to act from the period Alan tendered in his resignation till Monday where the self termination of the appointment becomes official.
The letter from the presidency was signed by its Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin.
