The Minister of state at the Ministry of Works and Housing Freda Prempeh has been ranked the worst-performing Member of Parliament (MP) in the Ahafo Region.

The Tano North lawmaker clocked 215th position below her colleagues from Asutifi South was 14th, Tano South who was 144th, Asutifi North who was 163rd, Asunafo South who was I65th and Asunafo North was 214th.

The latest survey which was released a few days ago,  was conducted to assess the performance of the 275 Members of Parliament since their assumption of power.

Constituents formed the bedrock of evaluating the Members of Parliament. Consequently, all the respondents sampled for evaluating each Member of Parliament were voters in the constituency represented by the Member of Parliament in question.

The study evaluated the following benchmarks in adjudicating the performance of the Members of Parliament:

Frequency of visits to constituency Nature of visits to the constituency

Projects executed by legislators

Location of the projects

Constituents’ expectations of the MP

Parliamentarians’ activities liked by constituents

Legislators’ activities disliked by constituents

Constituents’ ability to communicate with their Member of Parliament Respondents from each constituency were asked to assess and rank the performance of their respective Member of Parliament per the above stated criteria from a scale of 1% to 100%. They were also asked to nominally rate their respective parliamentarians from ‘Excellent’ to ‘Very bad’. The study found the following: (Download Document Below)
