
On 5th August, 2022 the Executive Director COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah of Economic And Organised Crime, honoured three (3) officers who retired during the first half of the year 2022.
The short ceremony was held at the Head Office in Accra.
COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah welcomed the retirees and expressed her gratitude to them for honouring the invitation. She expressed her heart-felt gratitude for their contributions in executing EOCO’s mandate during their years of active service. She said that the retirees still have a wealth of knowledge to share for the benefit of serving officers.
She also commended the EOCO Welfare Committee for a good work done and stated that plans were underway to create an entire unit to be referred to as “The Welfare Unit”. This Unit would cater for the health and overall well-being of EOCO staff and retirees alike.
One of the retirees, Mr. Quaye, who was the former Head of the Internal Audit Unit and the immediate past Regional Director for the Bono Region, speaking on behalf of the retirees, thanked the Executive Director, her Deputies, the Welfare Committee and all EOCO Officers for such a wonderful recognition.
Also present were Deputy Executive Director for Intelligence Mrs. Aba J. Opoku, Heads of Units and some officers of EOCO.
