Portugal Striker Cristiano Ronaldo was caught pulling an unknown snack from his shorts and eating it during Portugal’s win over Ghana on Thursday.
Ronaldo was on target during the 3-2 win over the Black Stars to open his account in what could be his final World Cup – becoming the first player to score a five World Cups – but it was an incident off the ball that got supporters talking again.
Footage shows the former Manchester United forward reaching into his shorts – for about five seconds – before reaching in and bringing an object out and then putting it in his mouth.
