An accident on the Akyem Apedwa-Kyebi route resulted in the untimely deaths of three passengers.
The victims were crushed to death after a wood-carrying vehicle somersaulted.
Ibrahim Adamu, 19, and Mohammed Sabutey, 16, have been named as the deceased. Emmanuel Nartey, 20, is also one of the victims.
A Kia-Rhino truck that was fully loaded with wood that had been unlawfully sawn was traveling from Kyebi- Potroase to Apedwa-Suhum Road when it was involved in the accident.
The vehicle as gathered failed its break then somersaulted into a nearby valley, resting on its side.
Four other people were traveling in a Kia-Rhino truck from Kyebi- Potroase to Apedwa-Suhum Roadmap when it was involved in an accident. The truck was fully loaded with wood that had been illegally sawn.
Meanwhile, the Police have since commenced an investigation into the matter as the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Suhum Hospital morgue, pending an autopsy.
