A 47-year-old Teacher in Assin South has been killed by his nephew in Assin Dosii in the Assin South Constituency of the Central Region for refusing to provide him money to smoke.
According to a report by Accra-based UTV, the nephew of the teacher is aware of where he keeps his salary anytime he withdraws it from the bank.
He usually visits his uncle’s house and manages to steal some of the money which he then uses to purchase the drugs.
But at the end of August, the Uncle decided he will not keep any money at home and will also not give his nephew any money because he hasn’t been a responsible nephew.
Peeved by the decision, his nephew whose name is given as Benedict Yaw Bempong fought his Uncle and hit his head with his fist.
The weak uncle John Obeng fell and hit his head on the floor making him unconscious. Although he was rushed to the hospital, he gave up the ghost.
Benedict has since been arrested and is assisting personnel of the Ghana Police Service with its investigation.
